Leanne is a certified DIRFloortime Therapist and holds a
Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Communication Sciences
and Disorders and a Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum
Disorders from the University of North Dakota. Leanne also
holds a Psychology degree from the University of Manitoba
and is currently working on a Ph.D. in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities at the Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning Graduate School (founded by Dr. Stanley Greenspan, creator of DIRFloortime Therapy).
Leanne has extensive experience working with children on the autism spectrum including teaching classes for I Can Pretend!, working as an ABA tutor through St. Amant and leading activities as a camp coach at OHEYS.
Leanne is co-owner of Autism Learning Centre, a one-of-its-kind facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, housing a wide array of therapies for children and teens with autism, all under one roof. For more information on Autism Learning Centre please go to:
Loc Lu has been a performer, instructor, and director for over
15 years and is I Can Pretend!'s Education Director.
Formally trained in physical theatre technique, mask, clown
film and forum theatre, he is a keen pupil of the performing
arts. His passion for teaching began in 2001 at
Manitoba Theatre for Young People. Since then, Loc has
worked with students of all ages and walks of life. He has
facilitated workshops and camps for several of Winnipeg's
leading arts organizations and programs including MTYP,
Prairie Theatre Exchange, Artists in the Schools,
Aboriginal Arts Training Program, Green Kids, and
Monica's Danz Gym. He enjoys video games and will eat
a whole watermelon if you let him.
